About Us

Hey Everyone! We are Quynh & Thao, cousins and co-founders of Ăn Cơm. We are first generation Vietnamese Americans who learned our way around the kitchen by watching our parents cook dinner every night. There were never measurements for anything and everything was cooked to taste, so we watched, learned, and experimented. Now, we want to share all this with you.

Ăn Cơm, pronounced “ahng-kuhm”, literally translates “to eat rice,” but in the Vietnamese language it also means more generally “to have a meal.”

In our culture, cooking for others is a symbol of care and love, while eating the food prepared by others is a symbol of gratitude and respect – all of which are exchanged at the table.

We are excited to have you and invite you to “ăn cơm” with us!
